We founded the Center for Spatial Justice Beyond Istanbul (Mekanda Adalet Derneği in Turkish) with the intention of living in fairer, more democratic, ecological urban and rural spaces; to produce work in a trans-disciplinary environment; to gather, accumulate and share knowledge that is innovative, qualified and public. With that in mind, we are currently building a “Spatial Studies Library” in our center in Istanbul.
We will hand pick source books for MAD Library that are suggested from researchers, academics, writers, artists and activists who work on the issues of space & justice.
We will also attach notes as to why the person thinks this specific book is important. If you could fill in the below suggestion form for works which you think “this book should be in the MAD Library” alongside your note, we can start building our library together.
Thank you!
*MAD: Turkish abbreviation for the Center for Spatial Justice Beyond Istanbul
